Five years ago, she rejected them. Five years ago, she ran. But they’ve found her, and this time, there’s no escape.
Born a Nexus shifter, her life has always been defined by three unshakable truths: her parents despised Nexus shifters, everyone was taught to fear her, and they were right to. She’s a monster, bonded to five souls she rejected at the mating ceremony before vanishing with her parents.
Now, dragged back to the remote pack community, she’s a prisoner of the very men she betrayed. They enforce their rules with unrelenting dominance, keeping her under constant watch while the tension between them threatens to explode.
Onyx, the charmer with deadly alpha instincts hidden behind polished suits.
Aleksander, whose hazel eyes conceal dangerous secrets—and a thirst for ruin.
Hollis and Rhodes, twins who capture hearts with ease, but one is determined to shatter hers.
And Finnegan, the most lethal of them all, harboring a hatred that burns brightest.
They are powerful, dangerous, and unyielding, alphas blessed by the Wolf Gods. She is the reject who destroyed their bond, their hearts, and their trust. But what they don’t see is the monster within her, a darkness clawing to the surface, waiting for the moment to unleash its fury.
If they push her too far, it will awaken. And when it does, there may be nothing left to save.

Two books in one day – I don’t know what to do with myself!
I will say that the plot premise of this book is not original. It is a basic storyline that I have read many times over now. I’ve read some incredible versions of it and some terrible versions of it. This was an average-good one. I read it in under 2 hour and was fully emersed in the world.
Gwen is mated to 5 men who she rejected and has been running for a long time. Running from her mates, running from the nexus, running from herself etc.
The mates are – Onyx, Alek, Hollis, Rhode, and Finn.
Rhode generally wants to get to know her and be a friend.
Onyx isn’t great at first then tries to be her friend, then goes cold and moody when she doesn’t give him what he wants.
Hollis is the certified dickhead. He fully hates her and everything about her. He flaunts a sexual relationship with another woman in her face.
Alek is demanding, cool, and confident, he also hates Gwen.
Finn is menacing, dominating, and hostile, he also hates Gwen.
The book focuses around Gwen being put back into the proximity of her 5 mates and not being about to hide herself away. She focuses on getting them to hate her so that they aren’t disappointed by her and what she can and cannot give. There are many vague clues as to what power she has and what she can do and these are fed to the reader throughout the book.
There were elements of this book that didn’t surprise me at all and there were elements that caught my fancy, if you will.
Gwen seems like a troubled character but for all the trauma and secrets in her past – which don’t get me wrong, she does do a good job at hiding them – don’t make her easy acceptance of Rhode to her life any easier. This book gave me a lot of ‘The Bonds that Tie’ series by J Bree and that was a phenomenal series and I could feel myself making comparisons, and it just didn’t hold that bright a candle.
There is absolutely no smut in this book, just a whole lot of angst and miscommunication. The ending was interesting though in terms of setting up the series plot line and it was interesting enough to entice me to read the next book in the series. I believe there are 4 books. I think I will probably use book 2 as a decider as to whether I’ll read the entire series or not.
