For someone who hasn’t read the Lord of the Rings books, I do so enjoy the story. Let me explain, I tried to read the books, I really did but I never even left the Shire. People kept telling me to stick with it but I just couldn’t understand why I needed several pages of detail about a staircase. I found the language very difficult to understand and my ability to process was very much in play, making it extremely difficult for me to understand what I was reading. In the end, I gave up. I’ve seen the films multiple times and then I started to read the fan fiction. It gave me new appreciation and allowed me to read with a better understanding. The stories in this part range from 2013 to 2016.

Carrie was as normal a girl as you could find in the modern age. That was until she met, yup, you guessed it, the most unlikely of people.
Hopefully there is something for everyone in this list. They are mostly ‘girl falls into middle-earth’ stories but they’re ones that I’ve read several times over and still enjoy. I’ll post the second half later this week.
