Rambles #7

It’s been a funny old week. For starters it has flown by. I got back from Skiing late on Saturday (11th), after a delayed takeoff and a taxi driver who seemed intent on doing 50 in a 30mph windy country place. I got very car sick.

On Sunday, I cooked with my Dad for the first time. It was something we talked about doing while skiing and are going to attempt to cook together every Sunday. My dad is very busy with work and we were reminiscing while skiing of the daddy-daughter days out we had while I was growing up. This is something we both wanted to restart and I enjoy spending time with my dad.

I was back at work on Monday, and the sweets I brought back from France were demolished by lunchtime – I didn’t expect anything less! – but overall, this week has sailed past smoothly and without incident. I have managed to walk 4/5 days this week, I missed Tuesday because it was chucking it down with rain! Having a fitbit has really changed my outlook on exercise and I have been able to implement a reward scheme to keep me on the healthy track.

The big book I read this week was ‘All the Missing Girls’ by Megan Miranda. I really enjoyed the book and was open to the reserve telling but I can see from reviews that those not open to the style have had little enjoyment with the book. I kinda like unique book structures, so it worked for me.

I’m currently reading: ‘Black Summer’ by M. W. Craven which is the sequel to ‘Puppet Show’ which I read in 2019. I’m also reading ‘Murder in Midwinter’ by Fleur Hitchcock and ‘The Girl from the Sea’ by Shalini Boland. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to finish up reading them over the weekend.

I’ve got a lot of art projects to do over the weekend, some new stuff will be coming to my etsy shop (LucyscraftTreasures) in the next 2 weeks.

I’m also taking my parents to see ‘Peter Pan Goes Wrong’ at the theater on Saturday night. I’m excited to go because I love the Mischief Theater productions and coarse acting is always hilarious.

I am now busy every weekend till the 1st March, which is completely unheard of for me but there is some exciting stuff coming up so I’m very happy about it all.

And that’s it! Short ramble for today, nothing of great importance to tell.

Happy reading everybody! ❤
